If you have an edition of Delphi named "Professional", then you must be using at least version 3 of Delphi. Updating memo and BLOB columns in SQL was not possible prior to that. What you might want to try doing is using a parameter to represent the memo column in your SQL statement. For example: INSERT INTO mytable VALUES (5, 'Tsting', :MemoParm) Note that the above assumes that the third column in the physical table structure is a memo column. Then, just prior to executing the TQuery, assign a value to this parameter. with Query1 do begin Close; ParamByName('MemoParam').DataType := ftMemo; ParamByName('MemoParam').AsMemo := 'Here is my txt'; ExecSQL; end; If this does not work for you, then you will need to post the specific version of Delphi and of the BDE that you are using. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Steve Koterski "The knowledge of the world is only to Technical Publications be acquired in the world, and not in a INPRISE Corporation closet." http://www.inprise.com/delphi -- Earl of Chesterfield (1694-1773) , Это свойство устанавливается в последнюю очередь, в противном случае, возможно возникновение ошибки «ADOQuery1: Missing SQL property», если свойство ADOQuery1.SQL пусто (рисунок 5)., SQL (Structured Query Language) is a standardized language for defining and manipulating data in a relational database. In accordance with the relational model of data, the database is perceived as a set of tables, relationships are represented by values in tables, and data is retrieved by specifying a result table that can be derived from one or more base tables. Queries take the form of a .
